Not super rare, but seldom seen for sale anymore. No clue how many were built, suspect not very many.
A 2002 Fender FSR Jazz, Burgundy Mist. One year only, MIM. As far as I can tell it's modeled after an L-series Jazz Bass. I've had a few L-series Jazz basses back in the day, including a couple in Custom Colors. Apart from the fretboard being slab, and not Brazilian rosewood, this bass is every bit as magical as the real thing. That said, it came to me with DiMarzio dual-coil pickups, a Hipshot 'A' bridge, and Gotoh Res-o-lite tuners, so I don't know what its OEM pickups would have sounded like. I replaced the DiMarzios with proper s/c Fralins, installed a Fender vintage style bridge and kept the Gotoh tuners. The build is first rate, great attention to detail from Fender, plays and sounds fantazmo. It seems that when Fender does a FSR they put forth their best effort, despite not being USA-built. This is a "forever" bass that I'll never let go of.

Speaking of Ibanez, here's one that we don't see very often. A Doug Wimbish DWB3. This is one of the early DWB3's, with a bubinga fretboard, as opposed to the later ones that came with rosewood fretboards. It's a monster sounding bass with its big EMG pickups and Ibanez preamp. Build is top notch with nice features. It's a completely different bass than the Ibanez DWB
2 PJ bass (a sweet bass in its own right, and one I wouldn't mind having also).
Oh, and that Shoreline bass in the front? It's just a cheap Squier and isn't anything really collectible. It's just a "Special". A P bass originally with J pickups. Blech. They weren't even 5 string units. 4s. You can imagine what hot garbage that was. I routed the body for those two Bartloini P4s and swapped on a Mighty Mite neck. Those pickups were in a Roscoe before. Haha! Talk about moving from Beverly Hills to Skid Row. It's a decent bass now. Needs a preamp though.
That of course behind the LP is a Korean Squier Pro Tone. It's a wide girl too, and the necks are interchangeable with the Special. It's more common than some, but made in 96 and 97. That one is cool because it's a legit pro tone in every way. Even the electronics down to the pots. But I built that bass from parts from three different basses. I call it "Bones"
That's a Brice 6 (common as dirt) behind that.

Ah, so you're the one who snatched up that 2K. Something tells me you are going to love that beast.
Late 80's Kramer Forum 1. Basically an arch-top Spector NS2. It has EMG's and a K-HAZ preamp in it. Neck through with an ebony board.
It’s an 84 and the pickups are 79s but there’s no telling if this is the original finish, the cavity for the preamp is the same colour just without a clear coat and the hole in the battery cavity is the same colour as well, I’m starting to think that it’s not a refinish even

El Toros are pretty hard to find to begin with, but you won't find many that are signed by the "G" in G&L. Wish I had the "L" on there to go with it!

Here's one for you. 1986 Ibanez Axstar AXB1000 neck thru headless bass:
Unicorn rare. Supposedly they planned to make 200 but no one knows if they ever got there. Never see these online even. There are some bolt on 4 and 5 string basses in the same line that come up ever so often that themselves are rare but I have seen exactly this one bass and a black one for sale at Ed Roman guitars and nothing else. If you have ANY info on these please share it! If you want to hear it, here's a Youtube video of this exact bass:
