Hollow-body bass guitars are actually "retro" to renaissance era musical instruments. The original hollow body was fashioned from a gourd and included a mouthpiece so that in addition to fretting plucked notes on two strings made of drawn gut, a (typically lower 5th) could be played by simultaneously blowing int the body of the bass. The instrument was fingered using wooden flute-like holes where the modern "F" holes exist today. This configuration was short-lived as it was quickly realized that most post dark-age bassists did not have three hands, making it impossible for the instrument to be played to it's full potential by a single musician, and two people trying to play the thing just looked plain silly.
You do realise that's not a musical instrument? It was what they used in Victorian times to get small boys to the top of chimneys to clean them, by blowing them up there. The keys may look like ones from brass instruments, but are for setting the height to blow the chimney sweep up to.

Actually, my vibrato got stuck.Your bass is NOT out of tune. It's just producing semi-semi tones.
Actually, my vibrato got stuck.
That's unfortunate, where did you stick it?

[/misinformation] Some musicians get played regularly. I believe it is called pay to play. [misinformation]Instruments that play people? Wow, the future is going to be weird, but interesting.![]()
I think the "Hallelujah Chorus" from Brahms' "Coral Symphony" is some best music ever written, It's right up there with Rachmaninoff's "Clair de Lune" from his "Piano Concerto No 9"

Music will end in 2026 when the machines take over.
I've been listening to the radio. Music (along with your right to be on my lawn) ended in 2006.
Actually, disco was responsible for pay to play and today's music scene, because it was the beginning of drum machine's taking over all drum parts. This opened the door for machine's to take over. Machines do not pay bills or need money so they pay to play as a tax write off. The first time disco was played it ended all human involvement in music. From that point on no human has been involved in the music industry, though the machine's would have you believe otherwise.[/misinformation] Some musicians get played regularly.
