Because low pitched tones travel slower through air than the high pitched ones, bassists should stand closest to the drummer. This enables them to first hear the beat and play before higher pitched instruments are played.

It's best to always have a plug in the output sockets of your basses to prevent mojo from leaking out.
If you want a modern sound, you need to drain all the mojo.
