Where on this site can i find a few new jazz or rock, fusion licks to practice weekly ? just wondered if there was such a place. Been playing a little while but i'm no pro. Maybe something begginer to intermediate. Help with flying fingers . Tabs would be ok too if available. If it costs maybe you can point me in the right direction. Just feel like i play scales and more scales, Blues and more blues. Thanks mark
I haven't checked it out yet, but here's a post in another thread with a link that seems promising: What are some tips to break down that wall that is holding you back?
there are plenty of charts and tabs for entire songs in the Notation & Tab subforums. why settle for licks?
Learning licks has value, however, unless you can weave your licks in and out of the improvisation, and or solo you are now playing, they become just short sound bits. See how Bill Evans will use licks, scales, chromatic runs and bits and pieces of other tunes in his improvisation... Yes licks first, but, don't forget about the other things that can be brought into the solo. Have fun...
