LIESSSSS THEY LIED TO ME!!!!

I'm surprised that they don't fit.
I've bought Tele dome-tops and fit them on just about ANY bass with standard 1/4" shafts on the pots... I've even put the set-screw knobs on split-shaft pots (carefully).

Besiides, if a music store was going to set out to defraud someone, they'd surely not burn the Karma-candle on a set of ten-dollar knobs.

Well like I said. I checked allparts and they assiduous there's a pair of chrome knobs with smaller pot holes and dome tops. And there's another pair with flat tops and larger pot holes

Let me rephrase, I can vouch that the "non" chrome dome, rather the flat ones, DO FIT both, pending the controls are original parts.

Also, where your parts labeled Genuine Fender?

There are weird variations in knobs. I bought some used abalone-capped knobs not long ago, to customize a piece, and the bastards didn't fit the shaft. Knowing the diameter and length of the shaft is your only assurance that what you buy will do the job.

Probably not a lie but ignorance on the part of the employee.
take it back. $10 bucks is nothing to them compared to losing a customer for life.

the plastic V & T knobs on my Chevy truck radio broke and I replaced them both
with Tele knobs. Just a thought in case you get stuck with them.

But you could also drill the holes out a bit to fit the Ps shaft diameter, pretty easy.

If you asked for them, they gave you what you asked for, and you opened them, then you were in the wrong, it's your bad, and you're out of luck if they don't take returns on opened packages.

If their employee said "these will fit" and they don't, then it doesn't matter that you opened the package. You were sold the proverbial "bill of goods." They misrepresented what they were selling you.

Just make sure you really know what happened.

Ever hear of the "implied warranty of merchantability"? The product was not merchantable for its intended purpose and the employee misrepresented the product. A short discussion with a manager should resolve the issue.
