Light gague rounds for a 6 string?

Recently got a 6 string and I am planning on changing the strings soon. I can't really find what I'm looking for because of the specificity. DR's PB-6/30 is everything I want aside from the gagues. Does this exist aside from custom string orders?

Two options for you:

A) D'Addario Nickel rounds. I use the 4 string medium gauge and piccolo gauge versions of these on my basses and I love them! They do make them in a 6 string set.

B) Light gauge La Bella (regular) White tapes. They're low tension, sound like rounds, and are some of the smoothest strings I've ever played.

For stainless steel rounds, I like the GHS Super Steels 6-string set, 27-40-58-80-102-126. I actually don't play a 6-string bass, but I like the gauges in this particular set for my 5-string, 40-58-80-102-126.

One thing to keep in mind is DR Pure Blues, being round-core, are more flexible than hex-core strings of the same gauges. In fact, PB 30-125 would probably feel more flexible than the light set of GHS Super Steels (27-126) I mentioned earlier.

I've been happy with light gauge Ken Smith strings on my standard scale 6 string. I use Galli strings on the short scale 6.

the core is relevant when talking about flexibility, but not actual tension, they are a different thing.

tension is give by the gauge of the core related to the windings. the smaller the core, the less the tension. however oftentimes "tension" is not the issue, but flexibility, it all depends on that we want.

FE: I like low tension, but not flexibility, so I can't stand roundcore like the Hi Beams. for me it's better a 40-100 set of less flexible strings than a 45-105 of flexible strings.

too much flexibility means that the string follows the fingers too much while plucking, and I don't like it.

different things for different hands.

Magma out of Argentina might be worth checking. They have light (30-40-60-80-100-125) and extra light (28-40-60-75-95-120) sets of NPS strings.

Fodera sells a light gauge set for 6 string.

I went through this myself when I got a 6 string. Seems way too hard for such a simple thing.
