why not get 2 BDDI's?Subculture13 said:I'd like to use it's great tone as my main AND overdrive tones.

+1 This thing is sick and the overdrive channel is crazy. They have one paired up with a Powerhouse 1000 cab at a store near me and its awesome. The overdrive has a seperate gain and master and is footswitchable too.schmittuml said:mesa big block 750?

Tom quick correction, the quadruplet and other warwick stuff along with the IOD use an EL84 to get power tube grind.
I still maintain that a stomp box ALA EHX tube series pedals, could use their existing power supply, one tube socket as a driver, and the other tube socket with a 9 pin wired in a single ended output circuit with a dummy load for power tube overdrive. Sure it wouldn't be like hooking up to a cranked SVT, but it would sound different from current offerings.

You know, there's a new DB750 in the ads for a decent price.jokerjkny said:interesting,
i used to think that too, until i tried Aguilar's DB750.
it has that weighty, fat tubey feel, but without the saggy, boomy bottom end. *shrug*
still, why not an Aguilar AG500? great amp w/ a sweet overdrive/distortion channel.
man, i sound like a commercial...![]()

Subculture13 said:Too expensive, I can wait a few more months for the programmable version to finally see the light of day. That gives me the choice of 3 tones. I can set up my clean and overdrive tones and a third for when I switch to fretless.
