Tough times. It's too bad indeed Mike's discontinued his pedal offering. The way he builds them makes them time-consuming as he explained. There's something quite special to them indeed. To me the Nuvision is the missing link between my other preamp pedals and my lunchbox Broughtons. It's that good ! And the treble Mod really extents where it works.

@Low Down Brown it was a very (very) reasonable price. And compared to what it brings to the table, it's the best bang for the bucks i spent for quite a long time. Please ask Mike

Yes, he makes great stuff and totally unique. I've got a one-off compressor that would have come to production had he not stopped making pedals. Mike is busy working on the Trinity and new ideas like the 2020 and TI Box.

Clip 3: Sadowsky into Lighting Boy TI Box (passive box) with phase switch pressed in
Clip 5: Sadowsky into active RNDI powered by 48 volt phantom power

Remember, the DBBLOX and Lighting Boy TI Box are totally passive and require no power.

I still really like this box. Been getting more play time than my RNDI. Loving that no power is needed.

Ain't that the frakking truth, cannot count the number of times some soundie or engineer has tried to Bogart one of my clearly marked DI boxes as their own. Even my engraved Countryman Type 85!

I've been curious about the Trinity box. Have you had a chance to play one?

Me neither. I only ever had one so I can't speak to what having two does. In my setup both recording to an interface and live I didn't feel like it was worth the space and cables. I noticed a slight treble rolloff, but that was it. I do trust that others are experiencing a special something something with it. I just didn't find it in my setup.

Yesterday I tried running my bass through a few different signal chains to test it out.

Bass -> TI Box -> Interface
Bass -> Radial Stagebug -> Interface
I’m not really sure of the character of the Stagebug, but the TI Box did sound a little more mid present and thicker.

Bass -> Tone Hammer -> TI Box -> Interface
Bass -> Tone Hammer -> Radial Stagebug -> Interface

I noticed a bit more difference here, since the Tone Hammer was using some of the AGS OD. It really makes the mids a lot beefier and even the high mids cut a little more.

I will test a 2020 going into the TI Box, but my initial hypothesis is that I shouldn’t hear a difference of Bass -> 2020 -> TI Box because nothing is really going to be driving the 2020 to get it to impart it’s tone. We’ll see!

I'd love to hear your impressions of the 2020 -> stagebug vs just the TI box by itself. Maybe with the TH in front of each?

I bought the 2020 thinking that it would give a little of that magic to whatever DI I used after it, amp, Countryman, sound guy's Whirlwind, etc.
