lightweight combo (MB210, 5110, aer)

Well, the micro and wizzy are gone. Fantastic little unit, but I started playing with group that's a little louder and needed to add a speaker. It was either get another wizzy or another 112 or do something different.

Got a new toy due to arrive tomorrow:hyper::D:bassist::bassist::D:hyper:

A little perspective:

It was a scratch and dent special with full warranty. Here's the only scratch I can find and it doesn't show up nearly as well without the flash.

It was on the back porch when I got home from work. Had time to take it out and play about 5 minutes before the dinner call and then bedtime routine and now I can't really test it out, but it sounds pretty sweet so far. I may need to work at home tomorrow :bassist:

I'll put further comments in this thread:

I really LOVE the blood red panel on the Promethean,, first time I saw one was at the NAMM show 2010 and I remember just standing there looking at the Promethean thinking that is just the coolest looking color of red I have ever seen in my life.

Funny thing is I have never played thru one or even heard one,,, but they sure do look cool.

I almost want to buy one just for the red colored panel.

Have fun with the new combo.

Cheers

I did post a mini review in the other thread. Short story:

Sounded great. Not enough for rock rehearsal by itself, but really fat with a 112 ext. cab. Quit working during quiet practice. Sent back today for refund.

Got a nearful LDS 12/6 in the classifieds coming this way. Thinking of going with shuttle 9.

And Davyo, I think you'd be disappointed compared the MB115 combo you've got for up for sale. IMO.

Actually Im selling my MarkBass Berlin 115 Combo because I just got the GK MB210.

Took both the MB and the GK to a gig a few nights ago, med sized venue and got to A/B them.

My verdict,,, the GK has more of the sound/tone Im looking for and like than the MarkBass has.

The MarkBass I have listed is a killer rig but for my personal taste in tone the GK won me over.
