Line 6 Bass POD / alternative?

Hi everybody,

I'm looking for a small box as the Line 6 Bass POD - which they don't produce anymore.

But I don't even need so many different sounds in it - just 1 or 2 sounds for Soul and Classic Funk (slapping), maybe a small rhythm computer in it, and that's it. (rhythm computer is not a condition)

There are small PODs for guitar, but not for bass.

Does someone know any alternatives, for low cost?

Thx a lot, greetz from germany

This may sound like "Doctor Obvious" here but eBay has Bass PODs all the time.

I had a BASS POD PRO (rack mount) for the longest time, I regret having sold it. I really liked that gizmo!

I've also noticed that many "guitar amp models" work pretty darned good as bass amp models. So even just a standard POD might do you well. Pocket PODs sell for around $125 or so depending on where you look.

I also has stellar luck with the BOSS GT6B (the red one). I used that thing on more recordings with a 5 string Jazz (MIM) than I care to recall. Guessing at maybe 200+ songs? Has some rhythm-based stuff in it as well. The "gas pedal" was semi-assignable and was pretty handy. The BOSS is all-steel construction and built tough as a shovel. I've seen them used for under $200.

I hope you don't find my reply as an insult to your intelligence or overly obvious, my intention was only to offer alternative directions. :)

try and get a line 6 pod x3 as it comes with all the extra add-on packs free, and more important for you it has the bass add-ons pack and that 28 cabs, and amps but on the line 6 site there are three pages of bass effects to download for the X3.
the X3 is much better than the bass pod or the bass pod xt.
the X3 is a great cabs, amps and effects pod.
