line 6 expression pedal alternative?

To answer your original question, I believe it takes a 25kOhm expression pedal, similar to the VPJr. IIRC, with the DL4, it'll allow you to switch between 2 settings on each of the 3 presets on the pedal. You can morph between them with the pedal as well. I'd think it'd be the same as with the M13- mono cable to one jack or the other on the VPJr., the other to the expression pedal jack on the DL4. The VPJr. isn't cheaper than the Line 6 expression pedal though, but it's buuilt much better and will last a lot longer.

i already have an EB Jr., i just didn't want mess anything up... not a fan of the smell of burning. thanks!

If you don't mind something a bit left of centre, I just got a Devi Ever Peep and it works with my Line 6 FM4. Haven't got to spend a bunch of time with it yet.

No moving parts, solid metal box. Probably indestructible. It's also very small, if real estate is a concern on your pedal board - about the size of two matchboxes.

I bought an M-Audio expression pedal to go with the DL4. I haven't invested too much time in set-up, but I believe I set it up properly and I'm not getting any response out of the DL4 with the pedal. I'm returning it and getting the LIne6. Maybe I'm just an ijit, but at least I'll know I have the right pedal and won't have to second guess that.
ymmv.
