Cool, just need clarification. I kept reading, it looks like the signal flow is what I'm thinking of. From the looks of it that would be what I need. Just program the things I need and hit one switch.

Yep, that's it. I tell people that snapshots are like having eight pet octopuses all around your pedalboard. You say "Okay, guys... go!" and they all switch certain pedals on, switch other pedals off, and tweak all your knobs (up to 64), instantly and seamlessly with spillover delay and reverb. The only thing the octopuses can't do is swap pedals out for different ones or change effect order.I haven't delved into snapshots too much. A snapshot is the stored state of the signal chain. So you can set up several snapshots per patch. You could change volume levels, which effects are on or off, what the drive level is set to, the tempo of the delay, etc. Save the snapshot. Change them around a bit and save another snapshot. Then you can change between them and it's like bending down and tweaking a bunch of different knobs as easily as stepping on a single switch.
Now I get it, that's exactly what I was looking for. Wow this will be fun, I need to ditch some things and get this bad boy ordered.Yep, that's it. Dumb question, I've been reading the manual, I'm guessing snapshot is where you can tailor a set of effects for a song and just hit that snapshot? If so, I'm in. That would make recording and playing live so much easier

That's the gist of it. I think? Like I said, I haven't done much there. I prefer to operate in stomp mode.

well dammit, this site does it again....i listed a bunch of pedals for sale, and am half way to an HX already... grrr...i mean, sweet!
I don’t think youll regret it man. You may still be somewhat skeptical. But that should all melt away as soon as you get some time with the HX.
So I’ve been messing with the HX. As usual. This week I’ve logged a lot of hours on this beast. I can’t stop playing with it. I even daydream about it at work!!! Haha
But I just wanted to give y’all the heads up. Some of the fuzzes and maybe a couple drive pedals aren’t the greatest with the low end. Still not horrible. But a couple could use some help. All I did was add a simple EQ to the block. Or a high/low cut. So even if you feel some low end is missing somewhere, just add some EQ. Now I still haven’t tried any of this in a live setting with a band. But I’m pretty confident it’ll do what I’m thinking it’ll do.
It’s like Line 6 thought of just about everything. They really thought each one of these platforms out too. I’m still very impressed with the unit. Can’t wait to get it on my board this weekend. Sucks we have practice tomorrow and I won’t be using it yet. But the time will come. And I’m confident this thing is gonna be plain aweome.
I also have some scribble strip covers and colored rings for the outputs on the back coming. Should be here next week. I’ll post some picks post bling![]()
Have you tried splitting the signal before the fuzz with a crossover? It was one of the first things I tried when I tried the Helix LT and it's one of the main reasons I ordered the HX.
I see...I think I did. Can you please be specific?
I’ve put the simple EQ in path B while my other dirt boxes and I actually liked how it sounded better in path A with the effects more than I did in path B when ran parallel. Is that how you mean? Although I didn’t move the splitter anywhere so that could’ve brought more favorable, to me, results.
Mind y’all, again, this is just in my room at home at low volumes all by myself. I keep hearing folks refer to a “crossover”. Is that what they mean??
That'll do for an explanation as well
I see...
You'll just love this then!
In the signal path view go to the point where the signal split. There you should be able to modify the splitting options.
The default mode is "Y" where you get the same signal on both paths. However, there is a crossover mode there, where you can set a specific frequency, let's say it's 400Hz. Everyting below 400Hz (the subs) will be sent to one path, while everything above 400Hz will be sent to the other. With this mode you can keep the low end clean and only apply drive/fuzz on the mid and high frequencies.
That'll do for an explanation as well![]()
Good Lord, it just keeps getting better and better!!! Thanks guys. Appreciate the tips. I totally missed that in the manual. I thought I spotted most the important stuff. Didn’t catch this before. This is important![]()
