Line 6 POD Express - use cases

Shoutout to L6 Pod Express users.
I’m looking for compact complementary alternative to my workhorse Zoom B6, for cases like this:
low-key, casual jam situation where I might want some FX, but don’t want to bring the whole processor (B6 is compact alright, but L6 Express is compacter )

Have you used it like this?

Key things I’m looking for:
* easy to dial in a simple sound on the fly
* maybe have some presets ready and bring them in without confusing series of many stomps

Please share your experiences.

I’d say the pod express is great for this use. There’s no menu diving or endless options for the situation you’re describing. When you’re playing on the fly it’s very intuitive to make changes or add effects as needed. WYSIWYG.

Now that L6 has released an editor app you have the ability to create patches on your pc and save to a preset slot. This gives you the granular control to really dial in a specific sound before hand and recall it any time.

I use it for travel right now. It and my headphones fit in my hard case, makes a great little practice gig powered off a few AA batteries.

I've also used it a few times to connect to my studio monitors and my computer to record, but I just picked up a Scarlett Solo on sale, so I'll be using it now.

I like the effect more than I was expecting and using it with a computer is critical because other than the default setting trying to do anything on the pedal is hard to remember what sequence and colours mean.

I use it for two very specific use cases: 1) at my office, where it and a tuner are my entire rig, and I play through the Pod Express into a set of headphones; and 2) when traveling (such as this week for thanksgiving).
