Line 6 Relay G10, short review

Receiver into the amp. I like neat and efficient. I asked because:
1. The difference between speaker leads and instruments leads is doom-laden, apparently.
2. I couldn't find an "instrument cable" less than 10'.
3. Things less than 10' were called patch leads. So:
4. For things with different names: See point 1 to ward off someone posting: "Christ on a bike! You plugged a patch lead directly into your amp! Flamin' Nora! What were you thinking?! Etc...

Haha no biggie I've plugged stuff into my amp with patch leads, shouldn't be problem.

Well I got mine and tried it out a bit. It's got decent range from what I can tell (I don't typically stray much from my amp but I do like to swing around and be very active). It did give me some noise when I tried it at church where there's plenty of interference but I didn't get any noise when trying it at home. I did notice a difference in tone between it and a cable. Idk why. The difference I noticed was a little like the lowest lows and highest highs were a little cut but it's not a big deal and no one will probably ever notice. I look forward to gigging it as cables really annoy me. I tried using the reciever with an external battery pack instead of plugged into the wall and it did work however I still need to test for how long it will work.

Keep us posted about the battery pack, cause if it works good its a win win situation for a good wireless!!

Tried it out with an external battery pack with an output of 5v and 1000 mA and it works just fine. I use a Polaroid one and the battery was still running strong after about an hour and a half. I'll probably be gigging with it like that for the next two days. Keep in mind that the warranty shouldn't cover using an external battery. Also on another note, Ibanez SR output jacks don't seem to work with the transmitter, it doesn't fit.
