Line 6 Relay G10, short review

I bought my G10 before they started packaging the adapter in the box. I contacted them and they sent one right out to me. Unfortunately, it did not solve my high squeal issue when the treble is turn up on some of my basses. One has Seymour Duncan pups and pre, the other has Bartolini pups and pre. I still love it, but I'm bummed that i have to pull back on the treble on some of my basses if I want to play them without the squeal. Luckily, my main basses have no issues.

I use ut with a Pedaltrain Nano. Fits well in the bag. Just need to unplug the transceiver.

OK - so I finally got around to contacting Line 6 support and new base unit is on the way!! I'm going to get a magnetic connector so I no longer have to take anything in or out of that delicate USB port and also lodge the base unit onto a pedalboard with my Zoom B3 with some way to put additional protection around it.

I LOVE the G10 but the base unit is one delicate piece of gear.

I love the G10 but i didn't love the high pitched noise it was producing with some of my basses. I got the Shure GLXD, which has an incredible battery life and the tuner is great. I put the G10 on the other side of my pedalboard and now I don't have to deal with stepping/tripping on a wire running from my board to my head. It may be unnecessary, but why not?

I think this will solve a lot of the problems with that delicate connector. I'm going to take it one step further and actually tape the piece onto the port as well so it is even more secure.

Line 6 very nearly made the perfect product here.... if only the usb port was more robust. Here's my 3 suggestions to improve the USB charging (in order of cost).

1. Try another micro usb cable. My phone cable fits more tightly than the cable supplied by Line 6.
2. Buy a magnetic usb cable (as suggested in other posts).
3. Sell the G10 and buy a Boss WL-50... how I wish this was available 12 months ago!! It seems Boss have taken the G10 and made it better in every way...

I like the Xvive bugs so far. It produces a high pitch whine when the transmitter is plugged into my Fdeck HPF preamp, so I cannot use it with that device (bummer). My active slab basses have similar issue, but to a much lesser degree -- perhaps because the preamp cavities are shielded -- and the Xvive bugs work great even with the nearly inaudible whine.

Hi all,
did anyone measure the real power consumption of the receiver? does it really need 1A, as stated in the power requirements?
I`m about to order a custom multi power supply, and this seems to be an issue, too big for classic transformer, I`ll probably omit this one output and stay with the original power adapter for G10...

I simply added an extra nut to the threaded part of the jack inside my SR type Ibanez bass to extend it slightly. It looks exactly the same, but now the transmitter fits perfectly.
