any1 use this with their bass? seems really cool on guitar and been wondering how it handles with a bass for cool spacey effects.

Line 6 Roto-Machine?

Just yesterday I bought a used MM4 modeler at GC. It has the Roto effects. Two of them. They sound great with my bass. I am planning on using everything about that pedal for chord playing and looping. It is going to b a lot of fun and rotary speaker effects are my favorite by far.
It works well with bass, low end is maintained and has versatility for various types of leslie effects. I've used it instead of a chorus for awhile but now I feel like going more with a flanger for the type of music I'm involved with presently...this is one of those pedals I may regret letting go.

I've been playing with one for a couple of weeks (found it cheap at the local used music store). I really like it on a slow setting for a chorus effect. The higher speeds are fun but, IMHO, not all that practical, which is too bad, since I really like the idea of a Leslie. Bear in mind, though, that I play almost exclusively classic rock and soul. YMMV.
The only major complaint I've read about the Roto is that it definitely "announces" itself when engaged. It doesn't just "effect" your sound, it's more of an "EFFECT IS NOW ON" difference. My pedal definitely does this.
The new Strymon Lex looks intriguing, but pricey. I may end up ditching the whole idea in favor of a good Analogman chorus...
