Line6 Fm4 + compressor/limiter

Hiya,
I´m going to pick up an Fm4. I´m not an effects guy, you know, I´m just gettin´in it. For you users of that pedal, do you use any compressor or limiter to cut that peaks? I owned before two EH micro synths, a q-tron, etc. but never get accostumed to that volume peaks, it is a must to run a limiter with that kind of effect?
Thanks all

It's a good idea to run a compressor/limiter after the filter if the filter puts out big spikes like the Q-Tron does. The best sort of compressor for this is one which has control over the threshold (so you can select exactly how high the peaks can be before the compressor reacts), and a high ratio (so it will flatten those big spikes).
