I just picked up a G10 for home use. Yes, it's a luxury item but my music room is fairly big ,and it's nice being cable-free (I use a G50 at gigs). Found a new one on eBay for $120. This is the cheaper model, not the newer S model. Love that it charges in stand... just pick up the transmitter and go.

However, there a major issue playing my Sadowsky Will Lee Metro through it. The WL produces a loud, high pitch interference sound with pre-amp engaged, but stops when the passive pot is pulled. My other 2 Sadowskys (NYC) are fine. Every other bass I have sounds great with it too, including an active Stingray Special and several passive basses. Unfortunately, this is the first bass I picked up to test the new unit, so I thought it was broken or getting some kind of outside interference. Nope, it's just the WL. WL plugged directly to amp doesn't have this issue, only through the G10 transmitter. I may try changing the 9V in the WL, but it's not that old.

Thoughts? Similar experience with the G10 and your active bass?
