Link To YouTube Videos Featuring Great Tone!

Is there a YouTube video that demonstrates the tone of a really awesome bass? Link us!

I have a couple:

YouTube - Rickenbacker 4003 vs. Peavey T-40: CUPID'S DEAD

This is an A/B comparison test between a Rickenbacker 4003 and a Peavey T-40. The guy is playing the song "Cupid's Dead" by the hard rock band Extreme. He plays the entire song, front to back, twice, once on each bass.

What a great side by side comparison. In case you were wondering, I give the T-40 the victory this time. This is a great video that demonstrates how warm, big and STRONG the T-40 can sound. That is a powerful, deep instrument and this is a fantastic demonstration. In my opinion, it almost makes the Ric seem a bit weak and twangy by comparison.

Here's another one of my favorites that I constantly use for reference:

YouTube - Eastwood Basses

Ed Friedland can make anything sound good but the tone he gets out of this Eastwood Classic 4 is AMAZING if you like warm, old-school thump. The other bass he reviews is cool but the Classic 4 (the first one) steals the show. I don't own this bass because it has a couple features that take it off my "must purchase" list but I can't deny the stylish, classy looks and deep, dark low end are outstanding. I'd string it with flats and play old-school motown or vintage rockabilly. Awesome!

Share your favorites. Keep in mind this is the "Basses" forum, so it should showcase the bass and not necessarily the player. This is the wrong board for that.

Thanks :) I sold that bass, though... Didn't play it enough and I had to afford a Lakland :)

Very, véry cool sound and played. One of the reasons I bought my Fender.
