I never heard of Ubuntu Studio so I went to their website to check it out. First thing I notice its Alpha software, not even into Beta yet. In other words its going to be flaky and constantly changing as it moves from Alpha, to Beta, and eventually to final release. That is the life cycle of software development. I would say if you don't want to be constantly mucking with your computer I would use another Linux that is a production release.
That is simply not true. The Alpha that you saw is for the next version, 8.04 Hardy Heron, that is scheduled to released in April. Version 7.10, Gutsy Gibbons, is stable.
