My amp and cabs are showing their age. My present setup consists of the following items:

* Carvin R600 (pre and power amp w/ tube)
* Carvin RL410T (4 x 10" cab w/ tweeter @ 8 ohms)
* Carvin RL115 (1 x 15" cab @ 4 ohms)

Due to the hassle of carrying two cabs, I use only the R600 and RL410T in band situations unless the extra cab is necessary.

By the end of next year, however, I would like to upgrade to the following setup:

* BBE BMAX-T (pre-amp w/ tube)
* Carvin DCM1000 (power amp)
* Aguilar GS 212 (2 x 12" cab w/ tweeter @ 8 ohms)

Now this is an interesting list of hardware. An extensive array of amplification/monitoring gear minus the vulgar display of "power" we see so much of in such a thread as this. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Sounds like someone is not compensating for something!

Carvin RL 115T (but I don't use the tweeter)

Also have an Ampeg SVT-200T, but there's something wrong with it. It makes funky noises from time to time...

I would like to get a small amp like a BX500 and a 2x10 for practicing....

that looks like a pretty sweet rig. Why wouldn't you put the 12's under the 4x10?
