List the amps you've gigged with

Wow. This one will strain my brain muscles...

Fender Bassman, a series 66 with the 2x12 cab that we thought was a 2x15 It actually belonged to my High School.

Then I took some time off from gigging and had no gear. Okay I was poor. It happens.

Ampeg SVT and 8x10, till it broke and I got it re-tubed. It wasn't the same so I sold it and got...
Acoustic 361, the classic 360 rig with the huge 1x18 cab

Then I quit gigging and went in the Navy.

After I got out
Peavey TNT130. Later supplemented with an Acoustic TC210p powered 2x10 cab.
GK 800rb and Hartke 4x10 transporter, then TWO Hartke 4x10 transporters just like everyone else
Then an Acoustic B4 head into that same TC210p and a Randall 2x15 cab
Then an SWR Redhead and an SWR Triad

I think that's all the ones I've used in public, going back to 1981

Ive probably left out a few amps I'll remember as soon at I hit "Submit Reply".

How about if it wasn't my amp? At least it wasn't JUST my amp. And it was just for one day.

I had to include an outdoor show where several bands set all the gear up ahead of time. We were in the semi-sheltered 'clamshell' of an orchestra stage in the park. Everyone got their stuff on stage by ten in the morning. The show started about eleven-ish and went till nine-thirty or ten that night.

After about the third band or so, someone discovered that they could connect (mostly) all the amps together by stringing patch cords from input to input. If an amp had two inputs back then, they were VERY likely to be electrically identical, so being connected to one made you connected to both.

So if one went to your instrument and the next went to the input of another amp, which had dual inputs and the second input had a patch cord that went to another amp...

Basically the last few bands ended up playing simultanesouly through ALL the bands rigs.

So the bass rig was several Peaveys, some Fenders, my Acoustic, an SVT, some GK's, an old Sunn...who knows what. The guitar rig was similarly huge and interconnected.

I don't know that I'd claim it was a GOOD sound. But it was certainly a sophisticated sound. And it was definitely a LOT of sound.
