Lite, loud and tone

Yeah. You spent 12 years developing your sound. You know what you're looking for. Your idea of tone is pretty far away from what I look for. I want to hear the natural sound of the instrument. Juicing up the low end like that would completely destroy the sound of the music I play. Even the funk wouldn't benefit from it. I don't really understand your statement about everything over 2k being useless for bass, though. I find 3.5k pretty useful.

It's just that calling an amp "lifeless" because it doesn't produce your idea of juiced up, sonic maximized incredible is a bit ridiculous. But then what do I know about anything... Good luck in your search.

So, after all the dumb arguments, one of my cabs died on the road and as I was caught in a pinch I bought the Markbass 2X10 traveler. Holy crap that cab's got balls. As of now I'm a full supporter of the markbass brand....for cabs. I still think the heads have no life. hahahaha, and this is not my opinion only, several of my colleges in the 4 bands I play in agreed. Anyway, markbass cabs all the way!!! Woop woop.

I roll an Orange TB500 thru their SP212 cab and have used it onstage for rock, blues, and metal. I love it and can't bring myself to consider anything else. But its rated for 600 max amps...

I guess it would depend on what you can afford. In my case the Genz Benz Uber 2x12 is just a great cabinet covering the mid range. The low end and highs are very responsive as well. It does like to growl. I use a Genz Benz 900 Streamliner with it but I would bet the Orange Terror 1000 would pair up nicely.
