Little things you like for no reason

For some reason I always liked the cloth wire used in the American Standard series. That and the string-through body. I know they both add nothing, but I just like them.

maple fretboards are also my other "little thing" (even tho 2 of my 3 basses have rosewood...)

Aha. I know what you mean about the Jazz body! I have a Squire P-Bass with an 'A' neck for mostly that reason! Yep. You sir, are a well-disposed thinker!

I have serious problems playing a perfect, pristine instrument. I buy used 90% of the time because of this. I like at least a little rust on the saddles, or some buckle scratch on the back. Doesn't have to be destroyed, but just something to make it not 'minty'. I can't stand getting into a sale/trade with a 'it must be in perfect condition' nit-picker. No patience for it at all.
