I have this vision of putting a wedding/party band together. Everybody goes direct. Keys/bass/electronic drums, not a prob. What are guys using for direct GTR these days? Must be able to do everything from WAY clean, to over the top dirt, and in between. Effects that a player would be OK with, and FAST, glitch free switching. I don't care if the whole thing sits on the floor, or if the unit lives in a rack and the floorboard is just a controller. The Behringer V-amp pro would meet all this, except that it is NOT glitch free when changing patches.

Rocktron Chameleon?? Vox floor thing?? Zoom G9.2tt?? Pod X3?? Whatcha got?

I don't recommend the pod x3, the switches stink. I have one and have fixed two of the switches already. The problem is with the way the switches connect to the PCB underneath. I should have never sold my bass pod xt live. For guitar get an XT live. If you need to go through a snake you'll need a direct box since there isn't any XLR outs. I imagine you can pick up a used one fairly cheap. Thee difficulty in using these is that people frequently have a problem getting the volume of their patches even.
