Live ZZ TOP/Dusty Hill Sound.

I presently play a 51 Reissue Tele bass w/ a 4x10 Eden ,Ampeg Classic 15" and a GK 700 RB head.
I am trying to get that dirty ,gritty sound live for the Dusty Hill sound. Any suggestions.
Also what type of effect would be good for Legs, TV Dinners etc for a better sound?

i use an L2k with a wooly mammoth and a mesa d180 with 2 orange 115s, or just the d180 overdriven, the other basses i have don't get that kind of sledgehammer thickness
