Listening with your eyes because the light is lighting up or did you go in wanting to be outraged?
To echo others, nothing unusual heard here. I'm used to old Trace gear that is best summarised as 'loud blah'. This new amp sounds a lot better!

Actually, now that I think of it, there were no Smarties in my last order, either. At least the Tootsie Roll was still there. Pretty sure I threw the rest away.
My most recent haul was two Tootsie Rolls, a banana Laffy Taffy (those all went to my wife), a key lime hard candy (which weirdly had a hint of coconut), a root beer barrel, and an oh so sweet Bit-O-Honey (a telltale sign I’m getting older, I used to hate them as a kid). Oh, and there were tuners and strings in the box too.
It sounds like he's bottoming out his speaker anytime he plays anything on the lower strings. But fml, maybe it's just my shyte $100 40in tv speakers bottoming out. lol. (sidenote, holy crap these things are cheap now).

I mean, I just watched it on a phone and it sounded fine. A hundred dollar 40” is awful suspect though!

I just ordered the TC Bam200 from SW yesterday for $146. I couldn't pass it up for a backup pocket amp.
Sounded great and bass like.
No distortion, especially "digital". No effects were involved but Youtube compression and whatever you are listening on.
This is why you can not buy based on videos.
You do not get the proper room shake without the real gear in person.

I've been playing rays for so long now, I could tell something was breaking up in the low end. Sadly, I just moved back to the states and my 2016 Cherry Burst SR4 was stolen from my household goods by movers. Insurance paid out $400 over what I paid for it new in 2016 (inflation is a B!tch) but that was first real big-boy bass guitar that I bought with my own money. So the sentimental loss stings.
I think they should double up the smarties since the package size is halved. They are most fun.
