Locked threads...do you read them?

I kind of get a kick out of seeing threads implode. Does anyone else explore a locked thread?
 overall, i get a "kick" but lots of times i'm composing my post to a 'hot' thread and it gets locked before i hit "post." i think that's happened dozens of times. most of the time: i can't tell what locked the thread (what the tipping point was that got it locked). i caught on to the idea that mods might delete certain posts, thus: continuity is 'strained' or lost, and what remains is a 'gentle' thread with a locked ("no further replies") notice.

per the OP: yes, i read them. if the thread title/OP draws me in = i'm there! rubbernecking? :D
