Locking IEC Cable? Input Amps?

I've never used a locking power cable, but 10 amps will be fine. That's 1200W at 120V, and the input of the amp will only see some fraction of the amp's 500W power rating (probably less than 100W).
That’s always something that has interested me:
In the States you are in 110V, In Europe we are in 220V.
As P = V * I, Power = Volt * ampere, for the same Power, you need twice the ampere we need in Europe. So may be you need a bigger cable than us for the juice.
