I just stumbled on this thread and for whatever reason, a logo popped into my head after reading it. If you like it, let me know.

oh man, so many logos, so many choices. i really like the one that jgroh came up with, it looks really cool. i could use just the v/bass clef on the bass itself, and on paper i could use the whole thing. yeah, i think, thats the one, its not set in stone but its definetly my first choice if nothing else comes along

That was the idea (i.e. separate the logo "mark" and still use the whole thing in other applications) Anyway, something I put together quick. If you are going to use it, let me know.
