London: DnB / Funk / Dub(step) / Breakbeat / Reggae / Hiphop

Hey kiddies :hiding:

I'm looking for a Female bassist (will also consider males) who are familiar and passionate with the above styles. I'm looking for someone who loves dance music of all types. A bassist who loves to hear the sub nice and loud, someone who has a few decent pedals and knows how to change the character of their sound for different genres, feels, and tunes. This person will ideally have their own head unit and biggish cab(s) as well as instrument.

I've been producing dance music for 8 years and while completely high at the Secret Garden Party I made the decision to start a live project. I've been mulling it over for a while; having been a DJ and producer for so long i've started missing live playing. :bassist:

This project, like everything I do, is starting from a standpoint of fun & love, with aspirations towards a self sustaining life (i.e. being paid to play and record)

I also own a 10% stake in a recently founded publishing company that pays 95% royalties to its artists. I have links to one of the best recording studios in the world.

The Lineup of the band (titled :ninja: 'The Watchers' :ninja: - tbc) will be:

Me on drum kit (& eventually samples)
Natalia on vocals
Bassist

we will have a drumnbass, funk, hiphop, breakbeat, dub dubstep & reggae, chillout sound. We will play covers & original material. We will rock crowds at warehouse parties, nightclubs and live venues, with an intrinsically dancey sound. keeping the lineup sparse gives room for each instrument to be heard and enjoyed, rather than being lost in a noisey mush of overlaid sounds. The producers among you will notice that the 3 sound sources I have chosen stick to their own registers of the sound spectrum. This will make us easy to mix and will help us sound good even out of the nutstest PA system.

anyway i'm banging on.

less is more.

i'm also in a dance music production & performance outfit Link Removed

lead vocalist natalya's tracks are online at. Link Removed
these are her singer sonngwritery guitar type tunes. she's also a good hiphop n drumnbass mc & party host

I'm primarily looking for a female bassist because i've noticed female musicians often have a smoother, swingier flow, which will suit this project. I also think it would create an interesting dynamic if the women outnumbered the man in the band.

please send links of your work if u can, tho not essential if you dont feel they are good examples. we'll be holding auditions in middle of august.

if this sounds interesting to you or someone you know please give me a ding on 0775 12345 71

thanks.
