Long lost - finally found

About 32 years ago, I bought a Fender parts bass (75 J body with 73 P neck). I replace the E tuner with a hipshot detuner. The tuner, which went into the bass case, disappeared. I thought I had tossed it by mistake, and was always pissed at myself, figuring I had done something stupid. But earlier today, while going through my closet, guess what turned up at the bottom of a box? Nice to know I have the full set now if I ever sell the axe.

Ive bought so many used basses with a hipshot on it and the Original tuner is MIA, always a little disappointing.

My '89 L-2000 was sold with a BT3 Xtender. The original machine it replaced was gone. I wasn't too excited about that initially but learned to adapt and enjoy the added range. No plans to ever sell the bass, so lost value is no issue.

I will never see the original G&L machine, but I guess I'll live.

I've got a 1997 Stingray5 with the low B tuner swapped for a bass X-tender. The original tuner had been long lost, for a decade or more. That was until last week when, while classifying stuff into 3 toolboxes (general tools, guit/bass/electronics and skateboard/longboard parts and spares) I found it. Made me stupidly happy. Now it's properly kept in its proper toolbox.
