Longest you have been without a date?

Normal physical relationship stuff - I lost my virginity when I was just turned 16, with the same girl I'd dated since two weeks after my 15th birthday.

I've dated random girls or hooked up with girls at parties at random times over the past few years. My last actual date was about three weeks ago. Been almost 2 years since an actual relationship, though.

Back in my early days of high school, I constantly had dates with different girls and enjoyed myself. But then it was like one day I lost all courage I ever had hitting on women. Now the random times I do date somebody, I say/do all the wrong things, nixing the chance of a second date. I have a gift of saying the wrong things at the wrong time, apparently. I have no idea whats up with that.


But I've had a problem lately: I still very much find women attractive, but I very rarely have "crushes" or the wanting of a relationship with many of them. Some of you probably see that as a good thing, but I have too much of a conscience to go around messing around with different girls.

I think I realized the cause of the problem: One of the last girls I dated was amazing. We never had a relationship, but she was exactly everything I could have ever wanted in a relationship, especially after seeing how well she treated her previous boyfriends. It really created a very very high standard of dating that less than a handful of women I've met have ever even come close to.

I think the longest I've been without a date would be a month or two. The only real relationship I've ever had though is the one I'm just getting into right now. I find that I'm only compatible with a very small handful of females, and this is the first one who I really gel with.

1995-1998 I took myself off the dating scene when a relationship ended.

late 1999-July 2002 took myself off the market again for same reasons.

January 2005, up until a couple of weeks ago I was dateless again for the same reasons. So my last date was oh, bout 2 or 3 hours ago with Marilyn. :hyper:
