Ok, I missed the boat BIG TIME on this one. I don't know how this guy or his band, Weapon Of Choice, somehow managed to sneak under my radar for all these years. Looks like they've probably disbanded at this point but this is some truly awesome stuff. Just ordered a couple of their albums. Can't wait to take 'em to the shed!

I love Weapon Of Choice, I've always dug Lonnie's use of effects. Very overlooked band!

I saw WOC a number of years ago and they were super fun. Nutmeg is a monster player and a showman the likes of Bootsy, FZ, and George Clinton. They had that same party on stage vibe. I really like the mix of dirty funk meets Zappa meets Steely Dan stuff they did/..do?.
Don't miss Dumpstaphunk if they get nearby, they're a must see as well.

Super talented and very nice.

Dionne just wasn't down with a lot of bs that the label wanted to put her through and she just want/wanted to be true to her vision with out any shallow interferences.
