Double Bass looking at getting an EA setup

all very good info guys.. I'm going to take my bass to a shop down in San Diego and try the micro out with some of the Wizzy cabs soon. I also really liked running my upright through my TF550 and two CXL112's that was a great sound rig.. so if any of the Wizzies sound close to that then I'll go that route.. if not I'll try the Acme B1

good points.. i'm just not going to have a car when i move out to philly so i need the smallest cab possible that will give me a nice roundish tone.. not huge lowend but just enough to get the job done with one if need be

While I found the wizzzy 10 to be slightly "midrangey" if I had to walk and get around town with my DB and an amp, I'd take the trade off.

Consider the Doubler!

Good Luck,

Pete

also As for my tone I use all plain guts, and tend to like my tone to fill up the room as much as possible.. not huge low end, but just a good balance of lows mids and highs. I do tend to scoop out a little mids to high mids

i play all gut and mic the bass using the Doubler and the Ten2Ex, and that is the sound i love. ideal for an indoor gig: room full, good balance, great punch, gut tone.
