Looking for a chorus pedal

visual sound products are all very very nice. cant speak for the chorus on bass, but i know it is a nice chorus/echo in the fist place, and the jekyll and hyde is a great pedal for dirt...

if you can maybe up the price range a bit, the analogman chorus is really incredible. the only other choruses i like are the eventide and the one in the korg ax3000b. (highly recommend the AX3000B, all the modulation is top notch.)

I own a korg ax3000b and I do agree that the modulations on this pedal board are top notched. it definitely has the most lushes sounding chorus effects I ever heard out of a mutli-effects processor.

I was able to spend a few days comparing the Red Witch Empress Chorus and the Fulltone Choralflange. For me there was no comparison, the Fulltone Choralflange just blew away the Red Witch in every way: sound, versatility, and retaining the low end. You can also switch between true bypass and buffered output with the Choralflange.

Do you guys find that the EHX modulation pedals do a good job of leaving the lower frequencies intact when running your bass through them?

Define "intact."

If you mean "no low end loss," then yes - with the exception of the Nano Clone, my experience with EHX chorus pedals has been positive on bass. On other effects (tremolo, flanger, etc.), it depends on which one you're looking at.

If you mean "doesn't affect the low frequencies (like a low pass filter)," then no - no EHX chorus pedal has a low pass filter, so ALL of your frequencies are affected.

What's that, the 80's are calling?

AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! My eyes!!!! :p

Nice thread, I´m looking for a chorus pedal to use with my Olympia AGB and was thinking about the EH Small Clone. I love the tone Mike Ines got in the Alice in Chains unplugged record, and I´ve been experimenting with chorus sounds when playing /recording in my PC with the Line 6 Gearbox software.

Any experience/comments with acoustic basses?

Cheers.

I have a XO Clone Theory that I'm actually trying to sell. Great chorus tones (Vibrato setting's useless), however my one gripe with it is that is has a very nasty hiss when active. Might not be a problem in live situations, but when trying to use it in the studio it was a nightmare.

Does the EHX Mistress suffer from similar issues? Not meaning to hijack at all, I just wanted to see if I can find a suitable replacement.
