looking for a FAT envelope filter for use with distortion

i'm looking for a fat envelope filter, that would work well with distortion to add a kinda crushing sound anyone got any good ideas?

I use the Tonefactor 442 Red (now renamed Boomstick Bottom Feeder ) in combination with an EHX Little Big Muff and the combination of the two is awesome!

Having expression pedal control is a great way to create "crushing" drops with a filter, especially in conjunction with distortion, so the Moog is a top choice.

depends on what you are trying to do?
any filter and distortion can do it... but the result is dependent of the listener if he likes it or not... and if it works with the music...

experiment with different placement order... dist/filter or filter/dist... or any other combination... you can even have multiple filters...

not to leave FAT out... EBS BASSIQ is the fattest in the low setting... it like wall of bass when the swell is over... it works well with dist too

I was hoping a 440 clone or MXR Envelope Filter (yellow one) might do it, doesn't look too likely though.

The DOD fx25 (I have the green 2 knob version) with a MXR Bass Blowtorch gets pretty close. I was searching for that tone as well, and pretty happy so far.

Pigtronix Disnortion into the Pigtronix EP-1. The Disnortion has a Clean out so you can run it into the Trigger In on the EP-1 - that way you're triggering the filter with a clean signal but effecting the OD from the Disnortion. They were made for each other for exactly what you're talking about.

Cool, funnily enough, I've been looking at some of these on ebay lately. I think this might just convince me to get one this week if no one outbids me. Thanks for the tip
