Had a mogami patch cable and after not using it for 2 years the plastic shell around the leads crumbled off. Not buying those again.

If I leave a patch cable in the drawer sitting and I pull it out a year later and the shell crumbles, I'm not going to bother sending it for a claim just to have more of the same, or buy more of them. I'm going to get different patch cables.

That’s odd. I’ve used their cables and patch cables for years with no issues. Had a connector plug break, took it to GC and they gave me a brand new one, no questions asked. I’ve now had that 18’ cable for probably 10+ years with no issues.
