Looking for a mildly offensive PJ bass

Kibble, milkbones, and P Basses. And redheads.
On the left is a 80’s vintage Schecter P bass in candy tangerine with an 80s Bartolini in the bridge position. Warmoth tele neck. Very fat.
On the right is a warmoth body with blue metal flake, nice nordstrands, Birdseye maple jazz neck from freestone. I’m considering moving one eventually but love playing them.
Gosh, I almost wanna buy one for myself now !

Sorry didn't mean to trash your build, i actually love all the other specs, its the paddle headstock. I almost ordered an A2 but its either super pointy jackson headstock or that wierd paddle thunderbird looking thing.

That's what I was primarily curious about. Haven't really seen anyone do serious 80's in quite a while. Not as the "main thing" of a band.

I’m not even in a band. I’m looking for a PJ bass to play at home and jam night and the 80’s were the era of the PJ bass. I love the vibe, loud, no pickguard, brass nut, high mass bridge, bright strings, scoop the mids. It’s a vibe for sure.
I have the P with flats covered, I just want to own the bass version of the degenerate nephew who smokes cigarettes and is unemployed.

The Charvel in your original post really seems to nail all you're looking for.
Although with all those knobs that surely isn't passive.
It all depends on what you want to spend. I almost suggested a Warmoth build to get this "time machine" just right and to your specs.
Are you wanting something that is actually a pretty good playing/sounding instrument, but over the top looks wise?

I have the Lime Green Sparkly San Dimas and the Orange Jackenbacker, because offensive PJs are kind of my vibe.
If I had to suggest one of the other based on looks, the Jackenbacker catches more attention from people.
By sound I'd say the San Dimas is thick and very aggressive while also sitting nicely in in the low midrange while the Jackenbacker is midrangey and slightly aggressive and does the vintage type sounds a smidge better. Both are good for rock.

Ah I really want a 550 in blue to go with my Red 500, So much better a bass than the looks would make you think.
