Looking for a Virtual Amp (?)

I don't have a very good amp but I know that there are some softwares available that simulate and modify your bass' sound as if it were plugged into a real amplifier.

I already bought a USB Interface, nothing really facy, it's a 1 port thing and the software that came with it focuses more on guitar so I was wondering:

Which software is good enough to amplify a bass through a USB interface?

The common ones I'm aware of are Guitar Rig, Amplitube, and GTR3. Amplitube has a version called SVX that is just Ampeg Bass amps, the rest are all a mix of guitar and bass stuff.

I've used em all many times, lately I prefer GTR3 but they all work well. I'm not sure but I'd guess they all may have a demo version, I'm pretty sure at least Guitar rig does.

IK is working out some kind of custom shop where after you buy an Amplitube product like one of the above, you'll be able to go to their custom shop and just buy a single amp or pedal that you want for a much smaller price. This makes a lot more sense over buying packs of some amps you'll never use.
Fender is probably the best deal right now, and it will get you into the Custom shop for other amps as you want them.

Sounds very good with a nice crisp tone, and very easy to setup and use. I have Ampitube 3, Ampeg SVT, and Markbass Studio 1. But when I don't want to mess around with all the microphones and levels, I just use Studio Devil instead. I run it in REAPER which is also free to demo.

my Line6 Toneport came with Gearbox.

It's mainly guitar heads, but you can use any of them for bass, change the cabinets (they have bass cabs too), add FX, there's even some pre-amp features (like a EMI style Abbey Road pre). It rocks for my simple home recording stuff.
