Double Bass Looking for cab recommendations

Hi guys,
Apologies if I’m posting this in the wrong forum or if it’s a frequently answered question; it’s quite a while since I’ve been in any way active around here.
I’m looking for a compact cab that won’t break my back loading in and out of venues, preferably a 1x10 or 2x10. I’m planning to use it with my Hartke LH1000 (overkill I know but it’s what I have) which I’m using for louder situations on electric bass. It’s a while since done my research on ampage and impedence so I’d appreciate a little help in finding what’s right!

unfortunately I’m based in Ireland and the shipping costs etc. might prove too costly. I’ll search classifieds but afaik there aren’t too many of those around Europe in general!

Agree with this in Europe Barefoot would likely be your best bet.

True, and I have played through the Mesa Subway Cabinets and liked them very much. I understand your frustration with Duke, but he's been very challenged this year.

Although I've never compared them side by side. Other than my MAS 1/8 and 4x5.5 (which is a whole other can of worms) there isn't any cabinet out there that doubles

as well as the TC 112. Just my take of course. Since the poster is in Ireland ( I missed that somehow) I think Mesa is a excellent choice.

I'm extremely satisfied with my new 2x8 build by a German Cab Builder called Invalid Link Removed...
here you can see some pics and impressions... but it's written in German...:p
for a first impression I append one of the pics here ;)

but they build also highly recommended 1x10 and 2x10..:)

Other US brands I would suggest. Genzler Bass Array, Euphonic Audio Wizzy and NL-112, Bergantino.

My old GK 700RB/112 combo works well with upright, so if you come across a GK Neo cab, give it a spin.

I would probably be most interested in the Genzler Bass Array series if I was looking for a new upright rig. Compact and modular line array :thumbsup:.

Some of the Bass Array cabs come in two versions, angled (slant) or straight. The idea is so you can build an array that tilts back so the vertical dispersion is wider.

Unfortunately they are not cheap.

I've often wondered just how good the Ampeg 210 AV is for Double Bass. Peter Palmeri raves about it. At 26 lbs. it's very transportable. I have played through one in GC, but that
was with my Lakland 55-94. They the same price as a TC Electronics 208 which is also a possibility in Ireland that I hadn't thought of.
