I have owned both a Stingray 5HH and a US Sterling H and gigged them sometimes 4-5 x a week playing in a busy hard working country band. While I loved them both, I tended to favor the Sterling. The smaller, lighter body was more comfortable and the tone was more balanced. The Stingray had a ton of low end and I loved playing it on big stages that had the massive powerful subs, but the Sterling could not only bring the boom but also be very articulate. It just felt dialed in no matter what the room or the PA was like. Whether I play finger style, or with a pick or thumb, It just does everything so well. I have since sold the Stingray to a close friend. I still have the Sterling.
