Double Bass looking for first upright

im a somewhat decent player, im looking to expand my skill and get an upright electric for the max price of 1000 dollars. i need suggestions.

You should check into the Unico by AlterEGO. I endorse the top line, and haven't played the Unico yet, but it is approximately in your price range (confirm with them), and if the Unico is even a little bit like the Acoustic line, then it's a fantastic instrument.
