Looking for great practice Amp

I have an Ampeg BA112 and BA115 in addition to a Fender
60w Bassman amp for practice. I am not happy with any of the 3 since I get a steady amount of noise and frequent cutouts from all 3. Can anyone recommend a quality 100 - 200w practice amp. I am looking to sell all three and get something good. So far I have seen that the Ampeg B100R, Genz Benz 3.0 8T and the Roland Cube 100. I certainly am not limited to these three. I am very open minded to any suggestions.

dont laugh at this...

for practice amps IMO behringer makes SUPER combos. for practice only. most have headphones out, line out, cd in,etc.

iv had a behringer 60watt and it was excellent for practing at my house. however i wouldnt use it for anything but practicing.

if behringer is not your cup of tea, what are some things you are looking for in a practice amp?

Tone, tone, tone, and more tone. I want something that I can take with me to a small gig or practice. It has to have loads of headroom and sound like it belongs. Of course it must be made like a swiss watch in someplace who still cares about quality.

even though your ampeg is shorting out and stuff, do you like the tone in general? then go for an ampeg combo.

gallien-krueger backling 110 combo
ashdown five fifteen ( played at a store, loved it)

if you live near a music go round, i suggest going to it. even if you dont you can still buy stuff online. if you dont mind used gear they have great prices on everything i suggest taking a look at their online inventory

The tone is OK but I feel like the BA series is lacking that headroom. As I play a bit louder both start to break up. I'm wondering if I do something like the B100R am I stepping up to something that I can use? As I said earlier I am not adverse to something like the Genz Benz, Roland or the Mark Bass.

yes you can use the b100r for practice and smaller gigs, if a pa is availible (im not sure if the 100r has one) then just DI into that.

for practing the difference from 100 to 200 watts will not be much louder in general. how much do you whant to spend at max, and do u want an amp for gigs or practice?

im sorry im not much help im always changing rigs.
went from hartke 250 head and a xl15 and gk 2x10
then ampeg b2r svt15 ampeg then added an svt 4x10 cab
now im using a rack rig art tps, behringer compresser, alesis eq and qsc power amp.

If you want "tone, tone, tone" then IMHO the Ashdown Perfect 10 is what you are looking for. It is a 2x10 mini stack. BUT here is the kicker... it is only 65W. My guitard absolutely LOVES the tone out of mine, but it just can't keep up with a 7 piece band.

For home practice and reasonable price it is perfect. Oops... one more thing, I think that they are discontinued, so you will have to get one used.

That's not it I just switched to Canare. Basically it is only the Fender that cuts out. The Ampeg's have noise issues. I talked to one of my friends that works at a local music store about the Ashdown. He told me that they got 3-4 of the lower end items back with cutout issues. They also sell the higher end a he tells me they are awsome. They also carry Genz Benz so I may look in that direction. My main rig is a Ampeg B500R and 2Avatar cabinets.
