So I have been playing for about 2 years now. Still have my original equipment (Squire and some no name 100w combo). I have actually learned a lot, but am still learning at a good pace.
I play in our church band (about 30-50 people in the church).
So I am looking to get a good combo for a better sound, and I would like to start auditioning for bands (I think I might be ready. Once I get my new equipment, it is just a matter of getting the balls to do it). I am looking to buy in two months or so (if the boss . . . err . . . wife approves
).
So I am currently looking at either the G-K MB212 or a Carvin BR5*N (15 or 10, dunno which I would prefer . . . hence the *).
Any thoughts between the two?
I know it might be a tad overkill for the church setting, but I am looking to future uses as well. I can always turn the volume down.
So . . . input?
