looking for new strings

I was talking about the make of strings not a jazz bass, I saw the OP say seems like not many people use them, not seems like not many people use them on a Jazz :smug:. Apologies for missing Squire, it wasnt a complete list, that would have been too much effort :).

I was just getting at the TYPE of Rotos he uses just to be a picky bastard :p Modern Jazzes are pretty grindy in the first place without trebley steels on them, when I used them on my ATK the Stingray vibe+those strings was a little much.

Yeagh I realised that after posting! :hiding:, I was just refering to the make.

I like them (the 66's) on my Jazz, but it does sound as you described, and they are hard to smooth out with EQ when they are new. I like them after they have lost the initial harshness too, so they are great strings for me kind of two sounds for the price of one :bassist:.
