looking for nonbiased thoughts (girl related)

hi all like the title says i want some nonbias thoughts on this jam im in with this girl i want to get a date with. im 95% sure i can get that date with her but what im worried about is the repercussions of me asking her out. see her mom and my mom grew up together and are best friends and her dad is one of my dads best customers, plus im good friends with both her parents. im not worried about getting rejected im just worried about the fallout my that would parents and i may have from my actions. so what do you guys and gals think, should i throw caution to the wind and go for it or back out and keep relations good?

I would try to answer this, but I can barely read it. Sorry.

As the parent of a 4.1 GPA daughter let me tell you that no one will ever be good enough for their daughter. But she has to make her own choices about dating and such.

Treat her well. Don't talk back to her parents or her dad may head butt you like I did one young man...

And get that whole attitude of "this will end badly" out of your head. She may be "the one". You may end up married.

Hopefully you will survive her family. The young man I head butted survived mine, but let's skip the whole list of stories where my in-laws have tried to kill him and just say he has turned out to be a decent son-in-law. He's another bassist, and is on this site more often than I.

Talk to your parents about it.

Solid advice. Sometimes your parents are the smartest people in the world. Sometimes. It would be nice to see what your parents think about the situation though, especially in your situation. Be warned that her parents may not feel the same way as yours do.

see what i feel like is that her parents feel that she is too good for me. i mean this girl is going places in life, she had a 4.1 grade point average in high school and is going to college to be a pharmacist she set all sorts of records in softball and she (most importantly) is a great person. id like to think im not a loser but compared to her i am and that wont be good if im a loser in the eyes of her family.

Most parents, especially those with daughters, are of the opinion that no one is ever good enough for their daughter. I'm a little rough around the edges myself, and most parents don't take to me very quickly. No one (that I have ever met) wants their daughter going out with the guy in torn jeans and a band tee.

What you can do is be the best boyfriend you can, and that will go a long way. Some of the fathers of girls that I have dated opened up to me soon after they met me and got a feel that I wasn't some "bad boy" taking advantage of their "innocent" daughter. The moms IMO are a lot harder to get to open up.

Good luck with your endeavor.

Sooo uhhhhh... Do you think it'd be cool if I uhh... you know... like called her sometime?? :D

Dude, we havent even been broken up for 8 minutes!

Seriously though, I wonder if I actually announced that my fiancee and I broke up how long it would take before some TBer finds her to do so. I have talked her up quite a bit here. I wonder if she would live up to her reputation....?

Im also the 'torn jeans and band tee' type of guy. I found that moms, uh, opened up for me quite often.

Since a very early age Ive had an appreciation for older women (and them for me).

One of my first crushes - I was in elementary school and the choir club from the local high school came to sing us some Xmas songs. Man, I dont know if I was more attracted to Keri or her knockers, but her image remained in my head for a very long time...
its no surprise to myself that Im engaged to an older woman.

Who would you call a loser, the guy who takes a chance and asks out a girl he likes or a guy who doesn't take a chance because he feels he isn't good enough?

Don't be a loser, ask her out, treat her right, and show everybody what you're made of.
