Threaded saddles - just move the strings inwards some. I think you can get to 18mm this way.

Absolutely nothing. Hipshot gets good money for their stuff, because it is good stuff, and it is available with options like string spacing, finish, aluminum or brass, etc. If what you want is special, you often have to pay more for it. 18 mm (at east in a 4 string) is definitely special.

I've ordered several over the years because I prefer 18mm spacing on all my basses. Totally functional, the spec is accurate, and they're pretty dang cheap.
Should drop right in since it has the same 5 hole pattern as the current bridge.

Get a bridge with threaded saddles and set the strings on whatever groove you want. Cheap and no fiddly adjustment screws and whatnot.

I have this inexpensive Ebay bridge on several of my short and medium scale bridges, because I also prefer 18mm string spacing. It has good tone and sustain. You may have to shorten the E string adjustment screw and trim the spring slightly, depending on your strings. Pix below. I’m really glad you posted this question. I have a Squier Jaguar Special SS Vintage Modified Bass that I put a Fender High Mass Bridge on. I really felt it helped the sustain. (I know this is controversial.) However I also felt that it put the G string closer to the edge of the neck, so I put the stock bridge back on. I’m not sure I can tell any difference. This made me wonder if the spacing was different on the two bridges. Or, if I should fool around with the settings on a Hipshot Kick Ass bridge that I also have. Life is full of so many hard questions.
