The Strymon Mobius is a great modulator on bass. However, it's chorus sounds aren't the best of the breed. They take a bit of time to tweek to get the right amount of wetness and the tone control frequency doesn't do much for bass. The only way of adding some extra bass / low end is a wet / dry parallel bend and that's not so great either. When it really needs is a simple bass boost option or a low retain option on the mix control.
The phaser, flanger, trem, univibe and filters are all top drawer and best of breed. It's just a pity there wasn't / isn't any bass consideration in the functions of this pedal.
Yep....a Source Audio multi mod would be amazing. Even a One series Lunar - refresh would be great. In the mean time, I'm using a SA lunar and it's a great pedal. Via the hub I get most of the patches I need. It's a pity there isn't better Midi map integration. I have my most used patches loaded in to the 6 switchable patches. However, It's half the size of a Mobius and drinks 1/3 of the power too. Do I miss the Mobius...some of it yes. Do I like the SA Lunar...yep. It's got a lot more Chorus options and they sound better on bass...plus it's got a bass control AND a low retain. In fact it's got a 4 band semi parametric EQ and adjustable HPF, although these features are only accessible via the Neuro desktop. But hey...edit the patch...set and forget.
