Looking for versatile, lightweight, loud head

Plenty of great head recommendations here for sure.

Cab-wise, when I was researching for mine, I found the Audiokinesis Thunderchild, which seems to pretty much be a PA-range cabinet that is tailored to handle low-range instruments well, and do it with 500W RMS headroom. Dunno what your budget is...but if it's flexible, I'd look into that one.

I ended up ordering the ebs reidmar 750 from American musical because they have amazing payment plans. I need to find a better cab now but I'm excited to show y'all what it sounds like. I've been hearing great things about this amp

Did you run the Quilter with heavy distortions? If so how'd it respond compared to the DG 900?

Bass was always a secondary instrument but I've been recently playing a lot more of it in a weird doom kind of band.
What I'm currently in the market for is a good, clean amp for accordion that handles highs well (I get my distortion from pedals for that) and something that would be an upgrade from using the behringer in our practice space. Looking for portability as well, so a lot of class d stuff is tempting. Ones I've considered so far are orange 4 stroke, ebs reidmar, and peavey minimega. Id like to hear some other recommendations though

The quilter was fine with any effect you threw at it. Distortions worked fine with it but I have to say the darkglass has the blendable circuit so you have the ability to get a way Fuller and robust dirt tone just because you can pretty much stack your pedals on top of that circuit. They both are really nice though. The darkglass just gets you one step closer to a great distortion tone right out of the gate.
